High Pressure Water Jetting

High Pressure Water Jetting & Ultra-High Pressure Water Jetting

By pressurizing water at a high speed, a water jet is generated which can be used to clean surfaces on impact. This water jet can be used to remove layers or deposits and to cut a wide variety of materials.

The pressure selected depends on the job that needs to be done. For simple cleaning of a surface, a pressure of roughly 300 bar or 4,500 psi is already enough to achieve good cleaning results. On the other hand, removal of tougher deposits (such as taking away paint coatings) may require a higher water jet pressure of around 2,000 bar or 30,000 psi.

The flow rate is the decisive factor in determining how long it takes to finish the job. The higher the flow, the faster the cleaning capability.

Whether the problem is hard incrustations in a heat exchanger or rust accumulation in the marine industry… water jetting can be the non-abrasive method of contaminant removal without damaging the surface that is being cleaned.

Ultra-high pressure water jetting has the precision to be applied as a hydrodemolition tool in the construction industry. The water jetting technology is vibration-free and does not have any negative effect on the surrounding integrity of a concrete structure. Deteriorated concrete can be removed from the surface of buildings, while reinforcement bars are de-rusted at the same time.

High pressure water jetting can have the flexibility to clean long lines of large pipes with bends and elbows that are clogged. It can also be adapted to unblock heat exchanger tubes with very small diameters.

Compared to sandblasting, there is no dust hazard to burden the environment when high pressure water jetting is used. The polluted water can be recycled or disposed of safely with relatively minimal containment.
